About Coal Run Craft

Coal Run Craft is a collaborative effort with Serrianni’s Pizzeria.

Humm…either I’m off on my projection, or I’m not working really hard at it.

Coal Run is a small community primarily of older coal town company houses.

They were called ‘company’ because the coal company typically built these duplex-style houses as residencies for coal miners and their families.

The mining has long stopped but continues people and residents of labor. It is a working man’s town, It’s a town of good people.

I like this town and I like these people and I’m happy to be bringing this venture to Coal Run, Pennsylvania.

I have an idea! My wife has beautiful brown eyes. I used to think she could make them really big, bright, most attractive, and quite inviting on self-command when I’d be facing her.

I know now however what makes them saucer-up like that is the sheer terror she perceives coming right after my phrase, ‘I have and idea…” or ‘I’ve been thinking…’! I can tell you they got damn big the day I proposed the idea of renovating the school into a pizza restaurant complete with a big new kitchen.

And to make it more special, we’ll incorporate renovated shipping containers into the structure, a brewery in the basement, and a unique taproom and bar to ensure we have a distinctive one-of-a-kind eatery experience for our patrons.

Don’t worry this isn’t going to be that hard, won’t cost that much, and it shouldn’t take long either. I never saw eyes like that.

Who wouldn’t love her? She not only puts up with all my bullshit and craziness, but she supports me! God bless.

It took longer than I thought (imagine that) but here we are right at the threshold of opening the doors: fully licensed, state-of-the-art kitchen, taproom complete with a bar converted from a shipping container (inside the building), and no craft beer.

What! No craft beer? Nope. That’s the next step or phase. But it’s underway and our professional advisors are suggesting, it shan’t be long now. (This time it really is going to be their fault if it turns out time excessive).

So, we are opening with food only, to go only. A soft start with take-out hours Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

The best cracker crisp thin crust Serrianni’s pizza, sandwiches from house-smoked meats, salad and sides, some specialty and some typical. We sure hope you’ll come to see what we’ve done!
